Morning Dua

أَصْبَحْنَا وَأَصْبَحَ الْمُلْكُ لِلَّهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

Asbahna wa asbahal mulku lillah, walhamdu lillah, wa la ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul mulku wa lahul hamdu wa huwa ala kulli shayin qadir

We have entered the morning and the dominion belongs to Allah, and all praise is for Allah. There is none worthy of worship but Allah alone, He has no partner, His is the dominion and to Him belongs all praise, and He is Able to do all things.

Evening Dua

أَمْسَيْنَا وَأَمْسَى الْمُلْكُ لِلَّهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

Amsayna wa amsal mulku lillah, walhamdu lillah, wa la ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul mulku wa lahul hamdu wa huwa ala kulli shayin qadir

We have entered the evening and the dominion belongs to Allah, and all praise is for Allah. There is none worthy of worship but Allah alone, He has no partner, His is the dominion and to Him belongs all praise, and He is Able to do all things.

Before Sleeping

بِاسْمِكَ اللَّهُمَّ أَمُوتُ وَأَحْيَا

Bismika Allahumma amutu wa ahya

In Your name, O Allah, I die and I live.

Upon Waking

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ

Alhamdu lillahil lazi ahyana ba'da ma amatana wa ilaihin nushur

Praise be to Allah who gave us life after causing us to die, and to Him is the resurrection.

Before Eating

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَعَلَى بَرَكَةِ اللَّهِ

Bismillahi wa ala barakatillah

In the name of Allah and with the blessings of Allah.

After Eating

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَنَا وَسَقَانَا وَجَعَلَنَا مُسْلِمِينَ

Alhamdu lillahil lazi at'amana wa saqana wa ja'alana muslimin

Praise be to Allah who has fed us, given us drink, and made us Muslims.

Entering the Mosque

اللَّهُمَّ افْتَحْ لِي أَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ

Allahumma iftah li abwaba rahmatik

O Allah, open the gates of Your mercy for me.

Leaving the Mosque

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ

Allahumma inni as'aluka min fadlik

O Allah, I ask You for Your bounty.

Entering Home

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَلَجْنَا وَبِسْمِ اللَّهِ خَرَجْنَا وَعَلَى اللَّهِ رَبِّنَا تَوَكَّلْنَا

Bismillahi walajna, wa bismillahi kharajna, wa 'ala Allahi rabbina tawakkalna

In the name of Allah we enter, and in the name of Allah we leave, and upon Allah our Lord we depend.

Leaving Home

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللَّهِ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ

Bismillahi tawakkaltu 'ala Allah, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah

In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, and there is no might nor power except with Allah.

Before Wudu (Ablution)

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ

Bismillah

In the name of Allah.

After Wudu (Ablution)

أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ

Ashhadu an la ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lah, wa ashhadu anna Muhammadan abduhu wa rasuluh

I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone, Who has no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger.

Travel Dua

سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ وَإِنَّا إِلَى رَبِّنَا لَمُنْقَلِبُونَ

Subhanal lazi sakhkhara lana hadha wa ma kunna lahu muqrinin, wa inna ila rabbina lamunqalibun

Glory be to Him Who has brought this under our control, for we could never have accomplished it by ourselves. And to our Lord surely we are to return.

Istikhara (Guidance)

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْتَخِيرُكَ بِعِلْمِكَ وَأَسْتَقْدِرُكَ بِقُدْرَتِكَ وَأَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ الْعَظِيمِ

Allahumma inni astakhiruka bi'ilmik, wa astaqdiruka biqudratik, wa as'aluka min fadlikal azim

O Allah, I seek Your guidance by Your knowledge, and I seek ability by Your power, and I ask You of Your great bounty.

For Anxiety and Sorrow

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ الْهَمِّ وَالْحَزَنِ

Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal hammi wal hazan

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from worry and grief.

Reference: Sahih Bukhari 6369

For Debt

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ الْمَأْثَمِ وَالْمَغْرَمِ

Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal ma'thami wal maghram

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from sin and heavy debt.

For Increase in Knowledge

رَبِّ زِدْنِي عِلْمًا

Rabbi zidni ilma

My Lord, increase me in knowledge.

Reference: Quran 20:114

For Parents

رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَوْمَ يَقُومُ الْحِسَابُ

Rabbighfir li wa liwalidayya wa lilmu'minina yauma yaqumul hisab

My Lord, forgive me and my parents and the believers on the Day the account is established.

For Forgiveness (Sayyidul Istighfar)

اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ خَلَقْتَنِي وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ وَأَنَا عَلَى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ

Allahumma anta rabbi la ilaha illa anta khalaqtani wa ana abduk, wa ana ala ahdika wa wa'dika mastata'tu

O Allah, You are my Lord, none has the right to be worshipped except You, You created me and I am Your servant, and I abide by Your covenant and promise as best I can.

For Protection from Hellfire

اللَّهُمَّ أَجِرْنِي مِنَ النَّارِ

Allahumma ajirni minan nar

O Allah, protect me from the Fire.

For Sustenance

اللَّهُمَّ اكْفِنِي بِحَلَالِكَ عَنْ حَرَامِكَ وَأَغْنِنِي بِفَضْلِكَ عَمَّنْ سِوَاكَ

Allahumma ikfini bihalalika an haramik, wa aghnini bifadlika amman siwak

O Allah, make me independent with Your lawful provision from what is unlawful, and enrich me with Your bounty from everyone other than You.

For Illness

اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ النَّاسِ أَذْهِبِ الْبَاسَ اشْفِ أَنْتَ الشَّافِي لَا شِفَاءَ إِلَّا شِفَاؤُكَ شِفَاءً لَا يُغَادِرُ سَقَمًا

Allahumma rabban nas, adhhibil bas, ishfi antash shafi, la shifa illa shifa'uk, shifa'an la yughadiru saqaman

O Allah, Lord of mankind, remove the harm and cure, for You are the Curer. There is no cure except Your cure, a cure that leaves no trace of illness.

For Protection from Dajjal

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ وَمِنْ فِتْنَةِ الدَّجَّالِ

Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min adhabil qabri wa min fitnatid dajjal

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave and from the trial of the Dajjal.

Upon Sneezing

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ

Alhamdulillah

Praise be to Allah.

يَرْحَمُكَ اللَّهُ

Yarhamukallah

May Allah have mercy on you.

For Rain

اللَّهُمَّ أَغِثْنَا اللَّهُمَّ أَغِثْنَا

Allahumma aghithna, Allahumma aghithna

O Allah, grant us rain, O Allah, grant us rain.

Upon Seeing New Moon

اللَّهُمَّ أَهِلَّهُ عَلَيْنَا بِالْأَمْنِ وَالْإِيمَانِ وَالسَّلَامَةِ وَالْإِسْلَامِ

Allahumma ahillahu 'alayna bil amni wal iman, was salamati wal islam

O Allah, bring it upon us with security, faith, safety and Islam.

Breaking Fast

ذَهَبَ الظَّمَأُ وَابَلَّتِ الْعُرُوقُ وَثَبَتَ الْأَجْرُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ

Dhahaba zama'u wa aballatil 'uruqu wa thabatal ajru insha Allah

The thirst has gone, the veins are moistened, and the reward is confirmed, if Allah wills.

Before Intercourse

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ اللَّهُمَّ جَنِّبْنَا الشَّيْطَانَ وَجَنِّبِ الشَّيْطَانَ مَا رَزَقْتَنَا

Bismillah, Allahumma jannibnash shaytan, wa jannibish shaytan ma razaqtana

In the name of Allah, O Allah, keep the devil away from us and keep the devil away from what You have blessed us with.

For New Born Child

أَعُوذُ بِكَ لَهَا وَلِذُرِّيَّتِهَا مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ

A'udhu biha laha wa li dhurriyyatiha minash shaytanir rajiim

I seek refuge for her and her offspring from the accursed devil.
